Maternity
In-patient up to AED 10,000 per normal delivery and AED 10,000 for medically necessary Caesarean section, complications or termination, with 10% co-insurance. Out-patient ante-natal 8 visits and 3 ultrasound scans with 10% co-insurance. All limits include co-insurance. Out-patient ante-natal services require prior approval from the insurance company; in-patient maternity services require prior approval from the insurance company or within 24 hours of emergency treatment. Where any condition becomes life-threatening to the mother or the newborn, the medically necessary expenses are covered up to the annual aggregate limit.

Emergency Treatment
Emergency treatment is covered at 100% of the actual covered cost, both within the network and outside the network.
Elective Treatment
Elective treatment within the network (free access) is covered; outside the UAE it is covered up to a maximum of 100% of UAE applicable network rates. Reimbursement outside the network: in South East Asia, 100% of the actual covered cost, capped at 100% of UAE applicable network rates; elsewhere within the territorial scope of cover, 80% of the actual covered cost, capped at 80% of UAE applicable network rates.
Health check up
An annual health check-up is covered once a year at selected network clinics, with a deductible of AED 150, subject to prior approval from the insurer or eCare.
New Born baby coverage
New born cover: the cover of a pregnant female is extended to give the same benefits to her new born child for 30 days from the date of birth, whether or not the baby is later enrolled as a dependent member. It includes BCG, Hepatitis B and neo-natal screening tests (phenylketonuria (PKU), congenital hypothyroidism, sickle cell screening and congenital adrenal hyperplasia).
