Annual Limit per Person

Area of Coverage
Worldwide. Coverage outside the UAE is limited to 90 days per treatment, and a single holiday or business trip may not exceed 90 days.
In-patient Services
Covered up to the relevant annual benefit limit per person per policy year, with pre-approval. Includes hospital accommodation and related services, intensive care and coronary artery disease treatment, consultant, surgeon and anaesthetist fees, therapies including physiotherapy, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, recipient organ transplantation excluding donor charges, and use of hospital medical equipment.
Out-patient Services
Covered - physician consultation, diagnostics and laboratory tests, pharmaceuticals, and physiotherapy (physiotherapy requires pre-authorization). Each is subject to the copayment chosen in the application. The approval protocol for free access at network providers follows HAAD guidelines.

Maternity
Inpatient and outpatient cover for pre and post-natal treatment, normal delivery, medically necessary Caesarean section, maternity complications, and medically necessary legal terminations. Inside Abu Dhabi: combined in-patient and out-patient limit up to the annual benefit limit of the policy, with an AED 500 delivery deductible as per HAAD. Outside Abu Dhabi: combined in-patient and out-patient limit of AED 10,000. In-patient maternity is subject to prior approval.
Abu Dhabi law excludes pregnancy and delivery cover for women enrolled as unmarried (Law 23/2005, Art. 13(5)).
Women and maternity on this plan
Married women pay an extra maternity premium on this plan; single women pay the standard price.

All declared pre-existing and chronic conditions are covered with a sub-limit of AED 250,000, subject to declaration in the Medical Application Form and medical underwriting; any undeclared pre-existing condition makes the policy subject to re-underwriting.
Emergency Road Ambulance Services
Covered in a medical emergency only, and if followed by admission.
Vaccination for Children (as per MOH, UAE)
Vaccination covered as per the MOH schedule, requiring pre-authorization. Covered on both free access and reimbursement basis; reimbursement claims are settled at 100% of actual covered cost, subject to a maximum of 100% of applicable network rates. Free access is available only within the specific MedNet Vaccination Network. Herpes Zoster (shingles) and influenza vaccines are not covered.
Repatriation of Mortal Remains

Free access (network): covered if the chosen provider is available in the selected network. Emergency treatment is paid at 100% of actual covered cost.
Outside the Network (Reimbursement)
Elective treatment reimbursed in SEA at 100% of actual covered cost, subject to a maximum of 100% of UAE applicable network rates. Reimbursement elsewhere within the territorial scope of cover at 80% of actual covered cost, subject to a maximum of 80% of UAE applicable network rates. Emergency treatment is reimbursed at 100% of actual covered cost.
Assist America
MedNet's global emergency assistance through Assist America, with no financial limitation under this benefit: worldwide emergency medical evacuation, worldwide hospital admission assistance, repatriation of mortal remains to the home country from anywhere in the world including the country of residence, medical consultation, evaluation, referral and monitoring, care of minor children and compassionate visit.
Vitamins
Multivitamins, milk formulas and food supplements are excluded unless prescribed as replacement therapy for known vitamin deficiency conditions.

Emergency treatment is settled at 100% of actual covered cost, both on Free Access (network) and on reimbursement (non-network).

Coverage outside the UAE is limited to 90 days per treatment. A single holiday or business trip may not exceed 90 days.

Elective Treatment
Elective treatment on Free Access (network) is covered if the chosen provider is available in the selected network. On reimbursement (non-network): in South East Asia, 100% of actual covered cost subject to a maximum of 100% of UAE applicable network rates; elsewhere within the territorial scope of cover, 80% of actual covered cost subject to a maximum of 80% of UAE applicable network rates.
Emergency dental (accidental damage)
Treatment required within three months following accidental damage to sound natural teeth caused by violent external means is covered when given by a physician, dentist or dental surgeon. No treatment is covered after 3 months of the accident. Damage caused by consuming food or drink, or foreign bodies in food or drink, is not covered.
Emergency Mental health Treatments
Emergency mental health treatments are covered.
Hearing Emergencies
Hearing aids are covered only in cases of medical emergencies.

Intensive care unit and coronary artery disease treatment is covered, up to the annual benefit limit and with pre-approval.
New Born baby coverage
Babies born inside and outside the UAE are covered from date of birth under the mother's card for the first 30 days from date of birth, up to the annual benefit limit. Newborns are added to the principal policy only on the policyholder's request and are subject to medical underwriting. Coverage is in line with HAAD benefit guidelines.

Accompanying person accommodation

Vision Emergencies
Vision aids and vision correction by surgery or laser are covered only in cases of medical emergencies.
