What is a TPA?
A TPA (third-party administrator) is the company that runs the provider network and processes claims on behalf of an insurer. NAS, NextCare, MedNet, Aafiya and eCare are the TPAs in this directory. Your insurance card usually shows the TPA and the network name.
What is a network?
A network is the list of facilities a TPA has an agreement with. Each TPA has several — some wide, some more limited. Every health insurance plan is built on one network, and that network decides which hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and opticians you can use on the plan.
How do I check if my hospital or clinic is covered?
Search for it at the top of this page. Its page lists every network it is on, grouped by TPA, and the plans from each insurer that use those networks. From there you can get a quote for exactly those plans.
Why doesn't the directory show prices?
The price of a health plan depends on the ages of the people covered, the emirate and the visa, so a single number here would be wrong for most people. Get a quote and you will see the prices for your household.
How up to date is the directory?
It reads the same network lists our quote engine uses, so when a TPA's list is updated in our system the directory shows it within about 20 minutes. Each network page shows when its list was last updated.
Is a facility on this list guaranteed to accept my plan?
Networks change and facilities can join or leave. Before a planned treatment, it is worth confirming with your insurer or the facility that your network is still accepted.
