Maternity
In-patient maternity: inside Abu Dhabi covered up to the policy annual limit (in-patient and out-patient); delivery inside Abu Dhabi carries an AED 500 deductible as per DoH law. Outside Abu Dhabi (within UAE): normal delivery up to AED 10,000, C-Section and maternity complications up to AED 12,000, medical emergency related to maternity up to the annual limit. Out-patient maternity: covered up to the annual limit, subject to the plan's consultation deductible. Pregnancy at the time of application should be declared in the medical application form and is subject to medical underwriting; an undeclared pregnancy will not be covered during the policy period and will be underwritten at renewal if needed. 6-month waiting period for delivery on first membership, unless you show continuous cover
Abu Dhabi law excludes pregnancy and delivery cover for women enrolled as unmarried (Law 23/2005, Art. 13(5)).

Pre-existing / Chronic Conditions
Covered up to the annual limit; all pre-existing conditions must be declared in the Medical Application Form and are subject to medical underwriting, with no waiting period if evidence of continuity of coverage is provided, otherwise a 6-month waiting period applies on first scheme membership to in-patient treatment for diabetes mellitus, arterial diseases, COPD, all cancers, neurosurgery, cerebro vascular diseases and all delivery cases.
Emergency Road Ambulance Services
Emergency road ambulance services to and from hospital by a registered ambulance services provider.
Vaccination for Children (as per MOH, UAE)
Vaccination for children as per MOH, UAE. Inside network: 100% of actual cost. Outside network: UCR basis.
Repatriation of Mortal Remains

Within the Network (Direct Billing)
Direct billing available. Reimbursement is also possible but will be settled at 80% of the usual and customary rates of the selected Network.
Outside the Network (Reimbursement)
Outside the network in countries where NAS is not present: reimbursement at 100% of actual costs (subject to be reasonable) or 100% of the usual and customary rates of the network, whichever is less. In countries where NAS is present: reimbursement at 80% of actual costs (subject to be reasonable) or 80% of the usual and customary rates of the network, whichever is less.
Vitamins
Multivitamins, milk formulas and food supplements are excluded unless prescribed as replacement therapy for known vitamin deficiency conditions.
Cash indemnity for in-patient stays
Cash indemnity for in-patient treatment is covered on reimbursement up to AED 250 per night, to a maximum of 10 nights. The claim must be submitted within 15 days after discharge from hospital with proof of hospitalisation including a discharge summary.
Follow-up consultation co-pay (within 7 days)
The consultation deductible does not apply to a follow-up within 7 days for the same treatment and with the same doctor.
Dental, hearing & vision aids, vision correction
Diagnostic and treatment services for dental and gum treatments, emergency cases only, are covered. A dental emergency is any injury to teeth or gums that can put you at risk of permanent damage, such as a chipped or broken tooth, a knocked-out tooth or soft-tissue injuries.
Hearing Emergencies
Hearing aids in emergency cases only are covered. Hearing emergencies include an object or insect in the ear, a ruptured eardrum and sudden hearing loss.
Hepatitis B Virus Screening and treatment

Diagnosis and treatment of Hepatitis C is covered for members enrolled under the Patient Support Program. Viral hepatitis is otherwise excluded except for Hepatitis A and C.
Organ transplantation (recipient only)
Organ transplantation is covered for the recipient, excluding any cost related to the donor and excluding the acquisition and organ cost. Organs covered are heart, lung, kidney, pancreas, liver, and allogeneic and autologous bone marrow.
Second Medical Opinion
This benefit gives members access, through the NAS mobile application, to world renowned providers to re-evaluate their earlier diagnosis, medical history and treatment plan for non-emergency cases.
Symptom Checker
Symptom checker is covered.
Accompanying person accommodation
Accommodation of an accompanying person in the same room is covered up to AED 250 per day, as per the recommendation of the attending physician and subject to prior approval.
Vision Emergencies
Vision aids and vision correction by surgery or laser in emergency cases only are covered. Vision emergencies include bleeding or discharge from or around the eye, double vision and total or partial loss of vision in one or both eyes.
Work Related Injuries and Illness
Healthcare services for work illnesses and injuries as per Federal Law No. 8 of 1980 concerning the Regulation of Work Relations, as amended, and applicable laws in this respect, are covered.
