Maternity
In-patient maternity inside the Emirate of Abu Dhabi: covered up to the annual limit (in-patient and out-patient); delivery inside Abu Dhabi is subject to an AED 500 deductible as per HAAD law. Outside the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (within UAE): normal delivery up to AED 10,000, C-section and maternity complications up to AED 12,000, maternity-related medical emergency up to the annual limit. Out-patient maternity: covered up to the annual limit, subject to the consultation deductible. Strictly subject to the Medical Application Form (MAF): pregnancy at the time of application should be declared and is subject to medical underwriting, and an undeclared pregnancy will not be covered during the policy period and will be underwritten at renewal if needed. An undeclared pregnancy, known or unknown to the insured at the time of buying the policy, is considered pre-existing, and all pregnancy-related out-patient and in-patient claims are subject to a charge of additional annual premium or cancellation of the policy with recovery of all claims already settled. 6-month waiting period for delivery on first membership, unless you show continuous cover
Abu Dhabi law excludes pregnancy and delivery cover for women enrolled as unmarried (Law 23/2005, Art. 13(5)).

Pre-existing / Chronic Conditions
All pre-existing conditions must be declared in the Medical Application Form and are subject to medical underwriting; undeclared pre-existing conditions are not covered during the policy period and are underwritten at renewal. No waiting period applies if evidence of continuous prior individual cover is provided, otherwise a 6-month waiting period applies to in-patient treatment of diabetes, arterial disease, COPD, all cancers, neurosurgery, cerebrovascular disease and all deliveries.
Emergency Road Ambulance Services
Emergency road ambulance services to and from hospital by a registered ambulance services provider.
Vaccination for Children (as per MOH, UAE)
Vaccination for children as per MOH, UAE. Inside network: 100% of actual cost. Outside network: UCR basis.
Repatriation of Mortal Remains

Within the Network (Direct Billing)
Direct billing available. Reimbursement is also possible but will be settled at 80% of the usual and customary rates of the selected network.
Outside the Network (Reimbursement)
In countries where NAS is not present: reimbursement at 100% of actual costs (subject to being reasonable) or 100% of the network's usual and customary rates, whichever is less. In countries where NAS is present: reimbursement at 80% of actual costs or 80% of the usual and customary rates, whichever is less.
Cash indemnity for in-patient stays
If you are hospitalised for medically necessary treatment that the policy covers but you do not submit the claim to the insurer, you are paid AED 300 per night for a maximum of 10 nights. The claim must be submitted within 15 days after discharge, with proof of hospitalisation including a discharge summary.
Follow-up consultation co-pay (within 7 days)
No consultation deductible is charged for a follow-up within 7 days for the same treatment with the same doctor.
Dental, hearing & vision aids, vision correction
Diagnosis and treatment of dental and gum emergencies is covered. A dental emergency is an injury to your teeth or gums that puts you at risk of permanent damage - for example a chipped or broken tooth, a knocked-out tooth or soft-tissue injuries. Emergency cases only.
Hearing Emergencies
Hearing emergencies are covered - for example an object or insect in the ear, a ruptured eardrum or sudden hearing loss. Emergency cases only.
Organ transplantation (recipient only)
Organ transplant is covered for the recipient only: any cost related to the donor, and the acquisition and cost of the organ, are excluded. Organs covered are heart, lung, kidney, pancreas, liver, and allogeneic and autologous bone marrow.
Second Medical Opinion
A second medical opinion is covered: through the NAS mobile app you can have world-renowned providers re-evaluate an earlier diagnosis, medical history and treatment plan. Non-emergency cases only.
Accompanying person accommodation
A person accompanying the patient in the same room is covered at AED 400 per day, on the recommendation of the attending physician and subject to prior approval.
Vision Emergencies
Vision emergencies are covered - for example bleeding or discharge from or around the eye, double vision, and total or partial loss of vision in one or both eyes. Emergency cases only.
Work Related Injuries and Illness
Healthcare services for work-related illnesses and injuries are covered, as required by Federal Law No. 8 of 1980 concerning the Regulation of Work Relations, as amended, and other applicable laws.
