Area of Coverage
Worldwide. Coverage outside UAE is limited to 90 days per treatment; a single holiday or business trip may not exceed 90 days.
In-patient Services
Hospitalization (Private Room), ICU/coronary artery disease treatment, consultant/surgeon/anesthetist fees, therapies (physiotherapy, chemotherapy, radiation therapy etc.), organ transplant (excluding donor charges), hospital medical equipment, ambulance services (emergency only, if followed by admission), companion room for beneficiaries under 16, and repatriation of mortal remains are all covered up to the Annual Benefit Limit with pre-approval.
Out-patient Services
Physician consultation, diagnostics and laboratory tests, pharmaceuticals, and physiotherapy (pre-authorization required, up to 15 sessions per member per year) are covered under the Out-Patient Benefit.

DHA Antenatal care protocol screening tests covered. In-patient maternity subject to prior approval.

Vaccination for Children (as per MOH, UAE)
Vaccination covered as per the MOH schedule, requiring pre-authorization. Covered on both free access and reimbursement basis; reimbursement claims are settled at 100% of actual covered cost, subject to a maximum of 100% of applicable network rates. Free access is available only within the specific MedNet Vaccination Network.

Emergency Treatment, Reimbursement (Non-Network): 100% of Actual Covered Cost.
Assist America
MedNet's global emergency assistance through Assist America, with no financial limitation under this benefit: worldwide emergency medical evacuation, worldwide hospital admission assistance, repatriation of mortal remains to the home country from anywhere in the world including the country of residence, medical consultation, evaluation, referral and monitoring, care of minor children and compassionate visit.
Vitamins
Multivitamins and food supplements are excluded unless prescribed as replacement therapy for known vitamin deficiency conditions.
Emergency Treatment
Emergency treatment is settled at 100% of actual covered cost, both on Free Access (network) and on reimbursement (non-network).
Cancer Treatments
Screening, healthcare services, investigations and treatments for cancer are covered only for members enrolled under the 'Patient Support Program', as per the terms, conditions and exclusions of the programme defined by DHA.
Coverage Criteria for Treatment outside UAE
Coverage outside the UAE is limited to 90 days per treatment. A single holiday or business trip may not exceed 90 days.
Day care Treatment
Day care treatment is covered.
Elective Treatment
Elective treatment on Free Access (network) is covered if the chosen provider is available in the selected network. On reimbursement (non-network): in South East Asia, 100% of actual covered cost subject to a maximum of 100% of UAE applicable network rates; elsewhere within the territorial scope of cover, 80% of actual covered cost subject to a maximum of 80% of UAE applicable network rates.
Emergency dental (accidental damage)
Treatment required within three months following accidental damage to sound natural teeth caused by violent external means is covered when given by a physician, dentist or dental surgeon. No treatment is covered after 3 months of the accident. Damage caused by consuming food or drink, or foreign bodies in food or drink, is not covered.
Emergency Mental health Treatments
Emergency mental health treatments are covered.
Hearing Emergencies
Hearing aids are covered only in cases of medical emergencies.
Hepatitis B Virus Screening and treatment
Healthcare services, investigations and treatments related to viral hepatitis are excluded, except for treatment and services related to Hepatitis A, B and C.
Hepatitis C Infection
Screening, healthcare services, investigations and treatments related to viral hepatitis and associated complications related to Hepatitis C are covered only for members enrolled under the Patient Support Program, as per the terms, conditions and exclusions of the programme defined by DHA.
Influenza Vaccine
Influenza vaccine covered once per annum, on a reimbursement basis only.
Intensive care & coronary artery disease
Intensive care unit and coronary artery disease treatment is covered, up to the annual benefit limit and with pre-approval.
New Born baby coverage
Babies born inside and outside the UAE are covered from date of birth under the mother's card for the first 30 days from date of birth, up to the policy annual limit. Newborns are added to the principal policy only on the policyholder's request and are subject to medical underwriting. Coverage is in line with DHA benefit guidelines.
Out Patient Surgery
Out-patient surgery is covered.
Preventive services (members over 18)
Diabetic screening: fasting blood sugar and HbA1c tests are covered once a policy year for eligible members. Prior approval is required for the Free Access facility.
Organ transplantation (recipient only)
Recipient organ transplantation service is covered, excluding any charges related to the donor.
Accompanying person accommodation
The cost of accommodation of a person accompanying a beneficiary below 16 years of age in the same room is covered up to a maximum of AED 100 per night, where medically necessary, recommended by the treating doctor and pre-approved.
Vision Emergencies
Vision aids and vision correction by surgery or laser are covered only in cases of medical emergencies.
Work Related Injuries and Illness
Work related injuries are covered.
